A day after his government was accused of infringing on civil liberties  by Ontario’s ombudsman. Premier Dalton McGuinty admitted he failed in striking a balance between individual freedom and security during the G. 20 summit in Toronto. Can we trust a premier who is so contrite with such a fundamental issue as civil liberties. How many more gaffes can we allow this government to make?

Premier Dalton McGuinty admits his government “moved too quickly” and “failed to communicate” a secret regulatory change that police used to arrest people at the June G20 summit in Toronto.
 
“The very premise of our regulation, the law itself, is likely not in keeping with the balance that we would want to strike at the beginning of the 21st century when it comes to public safety and … freedom of expression,”
