Shawn Graham Flip Flop Video

To be honest I have not been paying that much attention to the New Brunswick election. I found this video about the flip flop record of Shawn Graham to be very intriguing; it is very simple and to the point. It might be a little overly partisan and therefore would not play well with some of the electorate in New Brunswick . However, other than that it is a top-notch effort.

No Trampolines Allowed In The Nanny State

One of the goals of this website is to point out the utter ridiculousness of the nanny state and how far it can bounce into bizarre territory. Why does the nanny state have to go after the toys of toddlers?

Sharon Farmer has put up the 14ft trampoline in communal gardens for 10 years but has been told to remove it for health and safety reasons.
Mother-of-one Mrs Farmer, 44, said she was devastated after being ordered by the housing association to take down the trampoline, which has a safety net around the sides.
She said she put it up every summer to give children in the area something to do.

She said play is supervised at all times at the gardens in Lewisham, south London.
More than 40 youngsters, including those she looks after, love bouncing on the trampoline.

She said: “I have written permission from parents for their children to go on it and I am insured for the children I look after.
“There have never been any accidents because mine has a net. It’s never been a problem until London and Quadrant Housing Association took over, but now they say children could hurt themselves if they bounce off on to the grass….”

A New Conservative Website The Blaze

Glenn Beck without much fanfare,  launched his new conservative website the blaze today. It’s goal is to be a counterpoint to the left-leaning Huffington Post. First, the layout is clean and unencumbered in that way it is a very appealing website that could show some promise. The content of the website is definitely conservative but with Glenn Beck style of populism.

In short, if you like Glenn Beck and his message, you’ll love  this website if you don’t this is not for you. Canadians would find some news value in this website; however,  you have to expect that most of the stories are covered with an American perspective. For this reason much of the content might not connect with Canadian readers.   It will be interesting to see how this website evolves and what it eventually turns into.
